Bum bags! Remember them? Less alluringly entitled 'fanny packs' by our American friends, can you think of a better way to keep your hands free whilst carrying around all of your essentials? I've been pondering on a purchase for a while but was put off by the rule of not wearing something if you were old enough to the first time it came around. Clearly not an issue for this young lady, sporting my current favourite revival look - 'Mom' jeans, chunky boots and some laid-back layers, not to mention that lustworthy leather carrying apparatus.
Sorry, but I don't think bum bags is a better name than fanny packs!!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat look, I love the shades of grey with the bright sweater.
bit of a tricky one without looking like you're trying too much to pull something qirky out but she manages it. maybe cos it doesn't like new and shiny (you know, american apparel) and it's not got a 90s mr motivator vibe. works for me
ReplyDeleteShe's great with the accessories that gorgeous furry jumper and chunky boots! I wasn't a fan of bumbags till working for Larissa Hadjio her crab bags are awesome and can fit tons in! great pics x
ReplyDeletethis look is SO perfect!

ReplyDeletesuch a great portrait - striking facial features.
ReplyDeletep.s. i love sneaking up whenever i shoot you. that way i get you in your natural element.
I dont believe in rules. Who says you cant do something twice. Ignore them I say. Having said that not sure about bumbags though. Good shots. Havent been up to Noordermarkt on a monday. Cant find any info on a Monday flea market there either. Waterlooplien is turning out to be a good place to be. Xxxx
ReplyDeleteI have a Moschino one... true story. I'll show you pics of it sometime. It was when I was at the height of my late 80s RnB-music-video-girl fad. I wore it with lots of bodycon and mesh. You'll love it! I love the use of the phrase 'mom jeans.' xx
ReplyDeleteI can totally see you with a bum bag! Love these shots. Totally swooning over her cardigan. The second to last shot is gorgeous Jennifer!
ReplyDeletep.s. in the US fanny doesn't mean what it means in the UK so there's no weird bodily connotations for the term 'fanny pack'... unlike with bum bag in the UK. xx
cool style.
ReplyDeletehhaha yes! I remember them, I had one at one point and thought it was the coolest thing!
ReplyDeleteOh bumbags I was permanently attached to mine as a kid!
